Review

In the introduction to this book about dreaming, the author suggests
that you can learn about yourself by analyzing your dreams. Each of the
chapters that follow looks at a common type of dream. Bad dreams include
being chased, anxiety about tests, falling, disasters, and being naked,
while positive dreams involve such things as flying and love. More
unusual dreams are discussed in chapters that deal with finding new
spaces and visitations from the deceased. The final chapter explores how
to get the most out of your dreams by recording them and sleeping well.

Each chapter begins with a dream and offers suggestions for
interpretation. The text is well written and lively. As Garfield
usefully points out, dream interpretation is not a science; the same
dream will have different associations for different dreamers.
Recommended.
