Review

Franklin the turtle fans will get hours of enjoyment from these two
activity books. The brightly colored and laminated foldout front covers
and back covers provide the backgrounds for Franklin’s school room,
ice-hockey rink, playground, and party room. Using the 30 vinyl stickers
that come with each book, children can create Franklin’s classroom,
hockey game, and so forth. The stickers are reusable, so revisions and
changes can be made at will.

In addition, each book contains 16 coloring pages of activities such as
connecting the dots, finding and counting hidden objects, scrambled
words, mazes, word searches, recognizing similarities and differences,
and even recipes to try (with adult supervision, of course), An answer
key is included at the back of each book.

While many youngsters will enjoy the sticker fun and puzzles on their
own, adult involvement will certainly maximize the educational benefits
children receive from completing the activities. Recommended.
