Review

Horse-crazy crafters are sure to enjoy the projects Hendry has included
in this addition to the popular Kids Can Do It series. As with Dog
Crafts (2002) and Cat Crafts (2002), young readers can create a wide
range of items themed after their favourite pet.

Kids with a pony passion will no doubt enjoy making items to decorate
their room (lampshade, mirror, bookends), their wardrobe (tote bag,
pin), and even presents for their special steed (browband cover).
Cardboard boxes, pencils, socks, and other everyday items are the
starting materials for many of the projects. Well-illustrated,
easy-to-follow instructions help ensure success. Basic how-to
information is also given for sewing and drawing a horse, and making a
decorative silhouette will give readers the skills and confidence to
tackle some of the more complex projects. Patterns are included for some
projects, too. Recommended.
