Review

Since diversity in the classroom is a major focus of education today,
this timely collection of practical activities for traditional and
multicultural celebrations is a welcome comprehensive teacher resource.
Students are encouraged to investigate a variety of celebrations through
many different forms of self-expression. Arranged in chronological order
beginning in the fall, the discussions provide for each special event an
informative overview as well as meaningful language-based worksheets and
suggestions for further exploration. Celebrating Our Cultures seeks to
promote language skills through brief, intensive student engagement.
