Review

Readers familiar with popular children’s author Munsch will recognize
his storytelling style; among other things, he tells his stories from
the child’s point of view. This book’s subject matter is outrageous,
but the perversity of young readers will make it another in-demand
Munsch tale.

Carmen finds a fart on her bed, and summons her parents for help. She
even calls in the police, but she is told, “Good Canadian families do
not have farts.” The adults are overcome by the invasion, and Carmen
eventually provides the solution. Daniel provides the bold, colorful
illustrations to keep up with the action-packed text.
