The mysterious Hamish X is a hero to orphans because no facility can
hold him—he always escapes successfully. When he finds himself at the
Windycity Orphanage, where the orphans are forced to make the stinkiest
cheese in the world, he immediately begins to plan his escape with his
newfound friends Parveen and Mimi. Wearing his incredible magic
boots—the likes of which have never been off of his feet—Hamish X is
about to escape when the orphanage is attacked by infamous cheese
pirates, led by the nasty Cheesebeard himself. In order to save the
orphans that Cheesebeard has now kidnapped, Hamish X and friends find
themselves on an exciting adventure of a lifetime as they follow the
pirates’ trail to a frozen land.
Author Seбn Cullen, a comedian whose screen and stage credits include
The Tonight Show and the Toronto stage production of The Producers, has
won two Gemini Awards. This first book in his Hamish X series is a
marvellous story fraught with action, danger, mayhem, and humour. Highly
recommended.
