Review

Twelve-year-old Rory Dugan is vacationing aboard the Sea Lion with his
mom and new stepdad when he literally runs into Mr. Morgan, an old man,
on the deck. They both fall down, and Rory is blamed for the incident.
After that it seems that everywhere Rory goes Mr. Morgan is there. As
Rory tries to uncover who Mr. Morgan really is, things get spooky and
very dangerous.

Rory’s adventure is unlike anything he has ever experienced as he
deals with evil spirits from the Titanic and his own possible shipwreck.
The Mariner’s Curse is more than a tale of shipwreck and strange
happenings: it is also a boy’s coming-of-age story as Rory discovers
what he is capable of doing and realizes his own inner strength. It is
also about the importance of trust in a family and the value of honesty
in friendship. A page-turner that will keep readers guessing until the
end, The Mariner’s Curse is highly recommended.
