Review
The cat and the wizard are living their separate solitary lives when, by
chance, they meet in a laundromat. The cat invites the out-of-work
wizard to join him for dinner at Casa Loma, where she lives. After the
meal the wizard works his entertaining magic to the cat’s delight and
they both realize they’ve found a lifelong companion with similar
tastes.
This romping tale in the form of a poem is another example of Dennis
Lee’s genius. Gillian Johnson’s whimsical illustrations are not to
be missed. Highly recommended.
