Review

This zany book is full of laugh-out-loud poems that will make children
want to get up and dance. There are long, storylike poems and short,
sure-to-be-remembered rhymes, all accompanied by colorful wacky
illustrations. What fidgety child won’t appreciate “Wallace P.
Wigden sure was a wiggler, a fidgeting squirmer, a constant bum
wriggler.” And every child will surely recognize someone they know in
“Hurricane Hissy”: “Yes, I have a little sister, she’s as sweet
as she can be but if she has a hissy fit you’d better hide with me!”
Those looking for a fun book of children’s poetry should be sure to
consider this volume. Highly recommended.
