Review

These brightly colored books continue the adventures of Caillou, the
bald-headed, mischievous boy from the popular television series.

In Caillou at the Market, Caillou accompanies his mother and baby
sister, Rosie, on a visit to the supermarket. Caillou wants cookies but
his mother says no. Caillou returns to them anyway and gets lost. He is
found quickly, and the family returns home to a surprise cake.

In Caillou, Secret Place, Caillou finds a great hiding place with
Grandpa’s help. Caillou wants to keep the location a secret so he can
play with his treasured dinosaurs alone. He finds a small toy cowboy and
shows it to Grandpa; Grandpa says it belonged to Daddy but now belongs
to Caillou.

Children will enjoy creating their own story pages with the peel-off,
reusable stickers that are included with both books. While Caillou is
very popular with the preschool set, parents may not always agree with
his sometimes unpredictable behavior. Recommended.
