Review

Superb, soft-hued color illustrations make this charming Christmastime
story about a little brown teddy bear all alone in the snow-covered
woods a joy to read. As the snowflakes cover him, his paws and ears
become frozen. Max, a young boy, notices the bear in the snow and
hurries over to him. “Don’t worry,” he whispers “We’ll follow
the footprints and find the one who dropped you.” As Max and the bear
follow the footprints in the snow, they meet one new toy after another.
Max discovers that they’ve dropped out of a large sack that belongs to
a big, old man in a red suit. Could it possibly be....

A very grateful Santa Clause thanks and hugs Max, places all the toys
back in his sack, and goes over his list of names and toys that he must
deliver that night. When Max wakes up the next morning he finds the
teddy bear waiting for him under the Christmas tree.

The Christmas Bear is an ideal bedtime story on Christmas Eve.
Recommended.
