Review

Little ones will want to follow Zoe as she sallies forth into four
seasons dressed, ready, and open to the world around her. Barbara Reid,
winner of the Mr. Christie’s Book Award for Illustration, has created
five realistic and lively illustrations in each of her four glossy,
board books, which are easy for little hands to hold. There is one book
for each season filled with objects and actions guaranteed to prompt
immediate verbal response in young vocabulary builders. Each
representation depicts neighborhood outdoor activities and surprises in
bright Plasticine illustrations, with delightful three-dimensional
detail. Highly recommended.
