Review

Originally published in French, these board books by award-winning
author and illustrator Pierre Pratt contain two stories each. The
bright, small, attractive books, with only three or four words per page,
describe the parts of the anatomy of each family member that young
children see. Readers will be able to identify their own body
parts—nose, chin, cheek, eyes, foot, hair, and so forth—that
correspond with those in the book. After reading eight pages of I See
... My Dad, readers can flip the book over and read another eight pages
of I See ... My Mom on the reverse side. I See ... My Sister / I See ...
My Cat works in the same novel way. Illustrating the books are Pratt’s
simple, colorful, cartoon-like drawings. Parents can use these books to
encourage their toddlers to identify parts of their bodies in a fun way.
Recommended.
