Review
Elliot the moose has found a treasure map and excitedly decides to look
for the treasure. He soon finds the spot where the treasure is located.
During his digging expedition, his friends Socks, Beaverton, and Angel
decide to give him a hand. They get so carried away with the digging,
however, that they suddenly find themselves in a hole too deep to get
out of. But not to worry—with friendly cooperation and some laughter,
they all get out safely. Although they didn’t find any gold, they did
find something that was just as valuable—the reward of solving a
problem through team work.
“Treasure” is relative to the finder and it can come in many forms.
Friendship, cooperation, and fun are all treasures found in daily life.
This little book about friends who enjoy working together while playing
at hunting for treasure will be a delightful experience for all young
children, and especially appreciated by those who like make-believe
games. Recommended.
