Review

Everything you ever wanted to know about soap, but didn’t know to ask?
... This colorful, easy-to-use book of 36 experiments will give children
hours of good clean fun and help them learn science, the scientific
method, and even a little history at the same time. We learn how and why
soap cleans, what it is made from, how to make it, how people used to
make it, why it bubbles, what to do with the bubbles, even how to make a
soapy battery!

A helpful glossary and index complete the book. The experiments are
clearly written, with illustrations that both entertain and guide (lots
of girl scientists here). Useful sidebars contain information related to
the experiments historically or scientifically. The experiments will
appeal to a wide age range of students in elementary-school grades.
Highly recommended.
