Canadian Animals I Have Known

Joan Sanderson is a Toronto-based professional storyteller.

This collection of true stories about animals and camping adventures was
written by a trapper, guider, and woodsman who loves animals and the
Northern Ontario outdoors.

Each chapter covers one particular animal adventure in a
straightforward fashion. The knowledge to be gained from these stories
is enhanced by the realistic drawings. Unfortunately, the book’s
stilted and somewhat old-fashioned prose style may discourage children
from persisting with the stories from beginning to end. Recommended with
reservations.
