Review

Both fans of television’s “Road to Avonlea” and readers new to
Lucy Maud Montgomery’s characters will appreciate the book version of
this popular and internationally acclaimed TV series; each storybook is
an adaptation of an individual episode.

Author Heather Conkie bases the texts on the Sullivan Films’
productions, which adapted the adventures of The Story Girl from novels
written by L.M. Montgomery. The black-and-white photographs included in
each book are also drawn from the television production. This series
delivers the same warm, humorous, and high-quality family entertainment
that typifies the television version. Each title in the series is sure
to entertain new and old fans alike.

Highly recommended for juvenile readers.
