Review

Mama’s bed is a quiet haven for the children when they are sick or
need to find a quiet spot. Sometimes it is a place for bouncing or for
reading on a rainy day, and it’s even large enough for family pets.

Bogart’s simple story is a comforting read for preschool children as
they examine the beautiful illustrations of the fluffy bed, with its
colorful patterned cover. Daigneault’s delicate, generous paintings
are full of movement and joyful exuberance, sure to be enjoyed by young
readers.

A special story of a safe family refuge, written and illustrated with
warmth and care. Highly recommended.
