Review

Mary Wallace, the author of How to Make Great Stuff to Wear and How to
Make Great Stuff for Your Room, again turns the ordinary into the
extraordinary with I Can Make Toys. This most recent volume shows
children how to create fun, great-looking, easy-to-make
playthings—such as toy trains, racing cars, stuffed bunnies, toy
houses, tiny people, and dinosaur puzzles—out of colored paper,
styrofoam trays, cardboard boxes, fabric scraps, socks, buttons,
sponges, markers, and other household items. Wallace’s colorful
photography is inspiring and children will find her step-by-step
instructions easy to follow. Recommended.
