Review

This latest in the Kids Can Easy Crafts series is a delight to read.
Sadler’s easy-to-follow instructions allow even young children to make
beads out of such common household items as macaroni, newspaper, straws,
flour, and paint. In addition, the text simply, yet carefully, outlines
how to use these beads to make necklaces, bracelets, earrings, hair
decorations, mobiles, and scary spiders. Marilyn Mets’s illustrations
are inviting. Not only are they well drawn and colorful, but they also
leave the reader with the feeling that any one of the bead creations in
the book would be easy to make. Beads would make an excellent craft book
for elementary classes and craft clubs, and for use at home or at the
cottage. Highly recommended.
