Review

I Am Me sensitively portrays in rhymes a young child’s feelings about,
for example, growing up, finding a special stone and wanting to sleep
with it, and having warm feelings for a purring cat. The rhymes are
short and musical (“Whispers are tickles / and kisses are wet / but
swinging up high / is the nicest yet”), and illustrated by charming
line drawings by children.

This attractive little book, which is just the right size for small
hands to hold, will appeal

to pre- and early-primary-school youngsters. Recommended.
