Review

This coloring book is an inexpensive introduction to dinosaurs.
Alphabetized entries provide basic information on individual species.
The book also includes a map of the continents of the Mesozoic, a brief
chart outlining the periods of the Mesozoic era, and entries on nesting
sites and trackways.

The drawings are technically unsatisfying, but children may enjoy their
whimsy; a younger child would find them easy to color. While the
book’s paper stock is strong and heavy, the staple binding is
extremely feeble. A final problem is that the level of understanding and
interest required of the reader varies widely. Not recommended.
