Review

Hockey Talk is a compendium of hockey jargon, a language the author
describes as fascinating and colorful. Hockey lingo is expressed in a
variety of chapters on such topics as the types of hockey and the people
behind the sport. Though exhaustive, this encyclopedia of jargon, lore,
and anecdotes does not serve any real purpose; even as a reference book,
it is not all that useful. Recommended only for the most dedicated of
hockey enthusiasts.
