Review

Two brothers hear the wind as it pounds against their bedroom window.
Lying in their beds, they hear it knocking over the garbage can and
knocking against the gate. They wonder if the wind is ever lonely or
hungry, or if it ever sleeps. They’re sure it dances with the rain and
the trees. They even imagine that the wind gets into people. It makes
them feel like running and jumping and hugging. As the wind calms and
all is quiet, the boys fall asleep.

This is a delightful read-aloud story, poetic and imaginative, with a
soothing rhythm. Beautifully realized full-color illustrations show the
wind blowing clothes, shaking trees, and making waves. Highly
recommended.
