Review

This collection of silly poems and catchy rhymes dealing with Canadian
themes and geography includes such titles as “Nova Scotia Lobster”
and “Horsing Around B.C.” As accompaniments to the poems and rhymes,
the author suggests actions like bouncing a ball, stepping, and
clapping. Some of the vocabulary is difficult, but the rhymes are
cleverly done, which helps with pronunciation. Playful and designed to
encourage participation, this book is sure to delight those who enjoy
Dennis Lee’s style of poetry. Recommended.
