Review
Book 4 of the Time-Tripper series takes young adventurers Bill and
Donnie to a rural township in the year 1912. They are in pursuit of Dak,
who has stolen the time capsule belonging to their mysterious friend Mr.
Cromwell. The boys befriend Elspeth, a young farm girl, and work on her
father’s farm in exchange for food and shelter. With the assistance of
a stray dog, the three children finally succeed in tracking down Dak.
This accessible, logically structured story provides young readers with
an evocative portrait of rural life around the turn of the century.
Recommended.
