Review

Three young detectives, Brick, Sadie, and Clarice, reluctantly agree to
recover a stolen rabbit. During their search, they meet Mrs. Reardon,
who has called the Pied Piper Pest Control Shop to have raccoons and
skunks removed from her property. The mother raccoon upset a can of blue
paint, which left blue marks on her back. As the mystery unfolds, the
detectives meet a flute-playing Pied Piper and match wits with the
suspicious-looking man in charge of the removal service. In the end, the
raccoons are released into a protected wildlife area, and the Pied Piper
attracts the missing bunny with his music.

This is a well written mystery, with enough humor and plot twists to
keep a young reader turning pages. Interesting facts about raccoons are
woven into the plot. Recommended.
