Review
In an old chest purchased from an antique shop, Andrea discovers a
cleverly hidden letter written in Chinese and accompanied by a
photographic negative. The letter tells of the “Horrible Empress”
who oppressed her people, and of a hidden treasure; the photograph
depicts a beautiful woman. Andrea and her friends set out to solve the
puzzle of the missing treasure.
This fast-moving novel features an intriguing story, clever plot
twists, suspense mixed with humor, realistic characters, and a
satisfying conclusion. Highly recommended.
