Review

Featuring soft watercolor drawings, these two board books focus on the
baby within the context of a loving, happy family—mother, father,
older sister, and family cat. Baby’s Hands uses repetition of
“Baby’s hands are for ...” to unify a day in the life of baby;
patty cake, drumming, painting, and splashing are some of the activities
depicted. Baby’s Feet follows the same formula, but outlines a year in
the life of the baby; the actions of running on the beach, kicking
leaves, and making footprints are represented in different seasons.

There is nothing unexpected or eccentric in either book. Everything is
sweet and happy and fun. These would be great books for an older sibling
to read to a baby brother or sister. Recommended.
