Review

Scott Young brings impressive credentials as a reporter and writer to
this updated version of an engaging book that was originally published
in 1984. In chronicling the story of his relationship with his son Neil,
he steers clear of sentimentality and manages to produce a finely tuned
portrait of Neil Young as an artist, a family man, and a performer. We
are left with a particularly good understanding of the influence of
family on Neil Young’s life and music. Neil and Me will be of great
interest to those who want to know more about this multifaceted and
sometimes enigmatic musician. An updated discography is included.
