Review

This easy-to-read, visually appealing guide to corking begins with
information about required materials (household items such as bathroom
rolls, small or large cans, nails, and yarn). The author then takes
readers through the 10 basic corking steps. Finally, she offers a
selection of 20 items that can be fashioned with the tubing made from
colorful, leftover yarn (e.g., pot holders, coasters, doll cloths, baby
mittens, headbands, scarves, and mats). Some very easy-to-make favorites
will include fringes, gift ties, ponytail holders, and golf-club covers,
all attached to easy-to make pompoms.

This book will suit children of different ages and abilities who are
looking for a simple, fun, and productive hobby. Recommended.
