Review

Xanthe is infatuated with Colton and flattered after her first sexual
encounter with him. Grounded by her parents, she sneaks out to meet him
only to discover that he’s capable of violent and jealous rage when
things don’t go his way. Frightened by her realization that Colton has
a dark side, she decides to break up with him.

On her way home from a neighbor’s party, Xanthe is attacked by
Colton. One of her brother’s friends hears her cries for help and
rescues her. Finally, Xanthe understands that her parents weren’t just
being mean but were truly concerned for her safety and well-being.

Teens will easily identify with Xanthe as she struggles to cope with
her growing sexual awareness and emotional turmoil as she’s propelled
toward maturity. The situations portrayed are realistic and compelling.
Highly recommended.
