Review

This handy guide reviews 140 restaurants in Montreal where you can eat
for $15 or less, and also provides information on more than 40 bars.
Each detailed entry is very informative and bears witness to the
personal experience of the author, who is also the Montreal Gazette’s
casual-dining critic.

The restaurant section is divided into 20 categories, with seven
entries for each. The seven categories of bars each have six entries.
Essential information covering menu, hours, telephone number, address,
access by public transportation, and wheelchair access is included. Each
establishment is indexed separately depending on whether it is an eatery
or drinking place. There are indexes arranged alphabetically by
establishment name, by city area, and by type of food. This reviewer’s
personal use of this guide confirms its accuracy and usefulness.
