Jean Paré started her popular line of Company’s Coming cookbooks 25
years ago. Her trademark for creating quick-and-easy cooking with
everyday ingredients began with 18 years in the kitchen as a
self-employed caterer. Since that time she has written more than 100
cookbooks that have been published in numerous languages all over the
world.

Featuring more than 100 pages of recipes for school lunches, this book
goes well beyond the common lunchtime staples of sandwiches and cookies.
There are recipes for beverages, salads, hot and cold sandwiches and
wraps, pastas, pastries, soups, stews, snacks, and treats. Smoothies,
quesadillas, lasagna spirals, pizza soup, and fruit pudding dips for
oatmeal cookies are just a few of Paré’s exciting lunch suggestions.
The recipes are easy to read, with ingredients listed in both imperial
and metric measurements. Colour photographs accompany almost every
recipe.

Each recipe also provides suggestions on how kids can help make their
lunches. Preparing home-cooked meals together establishes a routine for
healthy, lifelong nutrition and learning.
