Review

More than 60 short articles taken from a series that appeared in
Maritime Life are presented in this collection, which covers the gamut
from business/work/money issues to health, spiritual/personal
development, and family life. The advice given in these articles is
clear, concise, and well researched. Each article concludes with a list
of further reading, and biographical information on all of the
contributors is provided. The introduction effectively sets up the
articles, and the volume as a whole is enhanced by pleasing,
old-fashioned graphics that remind the reader of simpler times, when
families instead of books dispensed advice.
