Review
The four poets represented in this volume are all firmly rooted in
northern British Columbia. Their poems portray their growing up, their
daily life, their local environment, and those who inhabit it. Shrewd,
penetrating, witty at times but never cynical, these poems reflect a
closeness to nature, and a gentle brooding over the transience of life.
In his introduction, editor Don Precosky provides thumbnail sketches of
each author. There is an attractive cover-illustration by Alberta
Kamstra.
A valuable addition to all school libraries.
