Review

This is a series of anecdotal accounts of, by, and about loggers and
logging on Vancouver Island. The period covered is mainly from the 1950s
through to the early 1990s. The book is profusely illustrated with
photographs of loggers and logging activities, and has a glossary for
those unfamiliar with the vocabulary of West Coast loggers. The writing
captures the natural speech of the loggers, colorful and complete with
expletives. An entertaining read.
