Review

After a brief preliminary section, this book is basically a short
descriptive list of activities that might be considered by the new
retiree. It is nonacademic, nonpretentious, written with humor and good
sense, and a quick read. Taken for what it is, the author’s solid
encouragement could well provide the spark that might be needed to
launch a floundering new retiree into fulfilling new activities. It
would make a good “here, you might be interested in this” kind of
book to casually present to someone you care about who is about to
retire.
