Review

If you are a fan of the popular CBC radio satire “Double Exposure,”
then this book is for you. If you have never heard of the program, this
book will probably get you to tune in. It brings the wacky and
irreverent comedy of Linda Cullen and Bob Robertson from the airwaves to
the printed page. As always, the emphasis is on political satire and
they do a very effective and nonpartisan job. The authors do not take
sides. In their view everyone in public life is a scoundrel!

The book is made up of one- or two-page chapters, divided by news
photos (with suitably loony captions) and a couple of silly quizzes.
Double Exposure is the only book I have ever seen that, in the copyright
statement, gives the reader the right to sing “O Canada!” in pig
Latin. Don’t forget to read the index either. My only complaint is the
price—$12.95 for 94 pages is a bit steep.
