Review

If you are planning to buy or lease a new or used vehicle, this book is
essential reading. Whether you are looking for a car, truck, minivan, or
4x4, the hard-hitting information in this guide will save you time,
frustration, and money.

Terauds is a nationally syndicated columnist and past editor of
Lemon-Aid magazine. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the job of
alerting Canadians to the pitfalls of the automotive market. In 17
chapters, he provides information on how the automotive marketplace
operates, guidelines on how to avoid endangering your life or wasting
your money when buying or leasing a vehicle, tips on the hidden cost of
a new vehicle, an explanation of warranties and what they really mean,
and advice on why you should beware of options. There is also a fairly
comprehensive list of the best and worst cars on the Canadian market.

The guide is written in an easy, informal style. Having read it, you
will be prepared to meet the dealer with a poker face and nerves of
steel. Highly recommended.
