Review
A beautiful callgirl dies under suspicious circumstances. Why did this
sought-after woman plunge from the penthouse of a luxurious residential
apartment? Was it suicide or murder? A dogged, determined detective
beats his way through a cloud of false leads and obfuscation to the
bizarre motivation behind the crime. This mystery, which first appeared
in 1959, and inspired a powerful movie, has stood the test of time: it
remains engrossing.
