Review

While Europe forges ahead with economic union, the Pacific Rim is
emerging as the region that offers greatest potential for growth.
Already trade is intense among these nations that border the Pacific
Ocean, and as there is an increase in business activity, there will also
be an increase in demand for all the services graphic designers provide.

Pacific Rim Design is the first book to herald the leaders in graphic
design in the Pacific Rim. It presents the work of fifteen very talented
designers from seven countries. Each designer has particular strengths
and interests. Together, their work demonstrates the eclectic range of
Pacific Rim design. Included are six designers from Hawaii, one from New
Zealand, and three from Australia, along with one from Hong Kong, one
from Korea, and three from Japan.

This lavish, large-format hardcover book devotes a generous number of
pages to each designer, presenting a strong selection of each
individual’s work, all printed in full color. It is an excellent
reference book and a valuable resource filled with creative ideas.
