Review

Since cycling has become an activity that lends itself to all ages as
well as a better method to see our nation, this effort is quite timely.
Much has been written about the appeal of P.E.I. and the Magdalen
Islands and their many offerings for visitors. This book lends a new
dimension to the islands’ attractions.

A general introduction exposes the reader to the islands; there follows
a step-by-step approach to cycling around them. Each day is detailed and
all the required signposts are described to provide cyclists with easy
travel. The author includes a tour map similar to those provided for car
travel and even covers how to get to the islands, giving information on,
for example, ferry and air service. In addition, the “Visitors
Guide” section is recommended as a good reference source.
