Review

In this book, McGiffen, who grew up in the Ottawa Valley, discovers a
whole new universe as she sees things from a different perspective. To
become a truly spiritual being, she had to challenge the illusions
created in her hundred years—not that illusions were necessarily
wrong. As a result she made some changes in her thoughts, outlook,
nature, religion, and spirituality. In the book, she looks back on a
full life, uncovering incidents that led to misunderstandings, and
joyously celebrating her new freedom. In Search of Wisdom is informative
and insightful, and it challenges readers to conquer their own
illusions.
