Review

Learning to use Lotus 1–2–3 spreadsheet software is outlined here in
step-by-step detail. Each instruction or explanation is accompanied by a
diagram of how the image appears on the computer screen.

Definitions, instructions, and even shortcuts are linked to graphic
illustrations with red lines and boxes. The user will learn how to
create, edit, and format a worksheet; work with ranges and formulas;
create databases and graphs; print a report; and manage computer files.

The right-hand margin lists all eight chapter headings, with tabs and
red text highlighting the current heading. The top margin shows all the
topics covered within that chapter, with red type highlighting the
information covered on that page.

The table of contents and index also provide access to the guide’s
contents, but the tabs and highlighted text make it easier for the user
who may be sitting in front of a computer to flip back and forth to find
the required detail.
