Review

How would you like a job that features long hours, and possibly no pay?
Well, you can review books, or you can try selling real estate.

Before you enroll in your first course, note that, of the 30,000
Canadians who enter the real estate industry each year, 20,000 drop out.
As a regional manager of Montreal Trust, with 12 years in the industry,
Braun, knowing about the casualty rate, decided to help potential agents
make a more informed decision.

His wonderful guide examines and evaluates the motivations people have
for selling real estate, looks at the impact such a career has on a
person’s lifestyle and finances, and walks potential salespeople
through a typical day. Braun suggests that, before committing yourself,
you consider other related careers. For those determined to proceed, he
provides some wise tips on choosing the right broker (make sure
there’s a training program), and when to start (good market or bad?).

Written clearly and argued powerfully, Braun’s book worked for me:
I’ve decided to continue reviewing books.
