Review
This practical and sensible guide to personal financial management, by
chartered accounts and partners with Deloitte and Touche, is filled with
sound advice. There are chapters on income and expenditure, tax
planning, investments, retirement, estate planning, and insurance;
discussions of the importance of setting financial objectives and of
year-end planning; and more than 30 removable worksheets that will help
readers develop a personalized financial plan. The authors remind the
readers several times throughout the book that by completing the
worksheets and developing a plan (those who do can save between $5000
and $8000 annually in professional fees charged by financial planners).
This well-organized, clearly written, user-friendly book is a good
investment for all Canadians interested in financial planning.
