Review

Too Small to See, Too Big to Ignore is a collection of essays aimed at
improving policies designed to improve the health and well-being of
children. Drawing on their experiences in British Columbia, the
contributors address such issues as rights, protection, violence, labor
force participation, service organization, and policy evaluation. Tables
and figures demonstrate various characteristics of and trends in child
health, including sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Sadly, there are
few indications that the contributors’ recommendations will be
implemented by British Columbia’s (“New Era”) Liberal government.

This book is an excellent resource for those who work with, or are the
parents of, children in British Columbia.
