Review

Travelers and longtime T.O. residents alike will find plenty of useful
information in this well-researched family guide to Toronto.
Transportation, accommodation, and all types of entertainment and
leisure activities are covered, including many I had never discovered
during my 10 years living in and around Metro. Holloway gives the reader
all the pertinent information one could ask for, much less require, on
hundreds of destinations, from the Young People’s Theatre to Queen
Street West and Chinatown. The book is divided into 10 chapters and
appendixes, and addresses such topics as art, the great outdoors, famous
neighborhoods, and Toronto’s Top 10 Family Attractions. The author
even includes vignettes on Toronto weather and history, as well as a
calendar of major family-oriented events. What an excellent resource!
